Privacy Counsel

Privacy Counsel The candidate will sit in the company s Global Privacy Team and help ensure that the company complies with all privacy laws and regulations worldwide while fostering awareness and respect for privacy protections within the organization. Work collaboratively with Product and Privacy Counsel to review products/features for compliance with privacy laws, conduct privacy impact assessments and develop solutions to privacy risks or violations that do not detract from business goals. Think creatively about engaging employees globally on the issue of privacy and help support projects designed to maintain awareness throughout the organization of company s approach to privacy and commitment to its Trust brand. Work with commercial teams to ensure third party vendors comply with all relevant privacy laws and help guide audits of such vendors where necessary. Analyze existing and new legislative and regulatory developments to ensure that the company understands and remains compliant with evolving requirements. Develop content to communicate to members and enterprise customers company s approach to privacy and data protection. J.D. and admission to California Bar or the ability to practice in-house in California and 3+ years of relevant experience with a focus in privacy required. Experience working in the field of privacy and a passion for the issue required. CIPP certified required. European experience a plus. Knowledge of privacy laws on a global basis required. Strong communication skills, impeccable integrity, unquestionably good judgment, strong analytical skills and a keen sense of humor required.
