Director, Corporate Claims Counsel Duties: Provide legal guidance and support to the Company on professional liability and general liability claims and litigation. Focus will be management of claims and litigation nationwide in both state and Federal courts. Will also advise the Company s internal clients on a variety of issues. Management of large docket of professional and general liability cases in litigation and pre-litigation, including management of outside counsel. Provide legal guidance and support on a variety of issues, including professional and general liability claims and risk, third party property loss claims and board of nursing investigations. Develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the Company's business, its people, markets, facilities, customers and competitors in order to formulate appropriate legal advice. Establish a rapport and working relationship with internal clients. Perform special assignments as needed. Support and collaborate with other areas of the Justice League and compliance, as needed. Assist in process improvement and establishment of best demonstrated practices for the Risk Litigation Team and Justice League as a whole.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school. Must be admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction in the United States. 4+ years of litigation experience in professional liability, medical malpractice, general liability, and products liability including experience managing a high volume of cases, discovery, depositions and motion practice. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
