Contracts Attorney The candidate should have JD Degree. Should have 3+ years of experience with laws & regulations affecting the delivery of health care, including the federal & state physician self-referral laws, federal & state anti-kickback laws & federal & state privacy & security laws. Must have 5+ years of experience advising a health care system or systems as internal or external counsel with a significant employed & contracted physician component. Experience advising California health care districts, including familiarity with the Local Health Care District Law, the Brown Act, & the Public Records Act is preferred. Extensive experience identifying & resolving health care regulatory compliance issues, including privacy, physician compensation, fraud & abuse, anti-kickback laws, Stark, & other matters, as well as with corporate transactions, & contract review, drafting, & negotiation is plus. Familiarity with all legal requirements involved in contractual dealings thorough knowledge of contract regulatory law. Must have strong negotiating, reviewing and drafting skills. Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills. Familiarity with state and federal funding and contracting requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including customer service skills. Expertise in using all Microsoft Office products including Excel, word processing, data base management and graphic presentations.
