Corporate Counsel The candidate will be responsible for major legal functions related to mortgage loans, mortgage servicing, financing's, etc. You will also be responsible for protecting the company s legal interests and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. Duties include: Oversee and assist with the legal aspects of the company s business, including matters pertaining to one or more of the following areas: Master Repurchase Agreements/Asset-based Financing Facilities, Mortgage Loan Purchase Agreements, Servicing Rights Purchase Agreements, Mortgage Loan Servicing Agreements, Mortgage Loan Securitization Agreements and Structured Finance Agreements; Responsible for the orderly, timely and legal conclusion of business transactions undertaken by the company within the scope of such attorney s areas of responsibility; Draft, review and negotiate contracts, including agreements within the scope of such attorney s areas of responsibility; Assist other members of the legal department as needed and Special projects as assigned by the General Counsel and Assistant. General Counsel. The candidate must be an attorney admitted to the Bar and eligible for in-house practice in Florida with 5-10 years of legal experience, preferably having large Law firm or corporate experience. Must have a high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to handle complex legal transactions. Must have solid organizational skills and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced corporate environment.
