Corporate Counsel The candidate will provide timely and pragmatic legal counsel to the Global Procurement team. Will efficiently negotiate a high volume of broad range of vendor contracts including software licensing, software as a service, hardware, hosting, business process outsourcing, professional services, data licensing, telecommunications, advertising and marketing and contingent labor. Provide guidance and support to contract managers to enable and empower them to navigate the contract negotiation process. Resolve contract disputes. Lead and support procurement and legal department projects including compliance and data-privacy-related initiatives. Assist with the creation, review and revision of company Global Procurement standard contract templates. Provide formal and informal training to contract managers. Support and assist in updating Global Procurement policies and procedures across company. The candidate should have JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school. Must have admission in good standing in the State Bar. Should have 7-10 years of office client seeks experience. Should have large law firm experience. In-House practice is preferred. Must be emphasis on technology transactions. Deep understanding of technology including software, hardware and software as a service, outsourcing, telecommunications and related technology are required. Sound Judgment to distinguish between material and immaterial risk, and the ability to analyze and contractually mitigate risk as appropriate are needed. Knowledge and application of contract and business law is preferred. Ability to be assertive while maintaining collaborative and professional demeanor is essential.
