Corporate Counsel Duties: Provide high-quality and proactive legal advice and service with a focus on the general aviation industry. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of agreements and contracts, including sales agreements, license agreements, supply/procurement agreements, real estate agreements, marketing agreements, etc. Draft and review numerous types of other routine legal documents, agreements, and instruments. Manage, oversee, and protect the Company s robust worldwide trademark portfolio. A strong preference is for a hands-on trademark practitioner with experience performing trademark clearance searches and performance of appropriate trademark filings with the USPTO. Also provide legal support on other Intellectual Property matters as needed, including patent strategy/counseling and privacy matters. Review brand marketing and advertising communications and promotional materials to ensure claim substantiation, appropriate disclosures, intellectual property protection, and FTC, FDA, and other regulatory compliance. Assist the General Counsel and outside counsel as needed in the management of company litigation and claims matters, including product liability litigation and employment litigation. Provide assistance during litigation discovery process, including interacting with internal subject matter experts (e.g., Engineering, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, etc.) to obtain background information and implementation of litigation holds. Undertake other ad hoc projects under the minimal supervision of the company s General Counsel in all facets of the business and conduct legal research as necessary to support initiatives. Monitoring and maintaining current knowledge of aviation industry trends in legal and compliance matters and pursuing ongoing professional development to maintain current knowledge on best practices and risk management.

Qualifications: JD Degree with excellent academic credentials. Current attorney license in at least one State and must be in good standing. 5-15 years of varied corporate law experience (preferably a portion of which gained in an in-house corporate setting). Proven negotiation, drafting and analytical skills for various types of commercial contracts. Must be a skilled writer and drafter. Driven and self-motivated with a strong desire for customer service and excellence. Exceptional oral and written communications, presentation, and facilitation skills. Must interact confidently, persuasively and diplomatically with all levels of Cirrus organization. Must also be a good listener. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-faceted projects in a fast-paced environment. Prefer: Prior in-house corporate generalist experience. Prior general aviation legal experience. Prior hands-on intellectual property experience. A good sense of humor.
