Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel The candidate will provide legal counsel and representation for Corporation and its subsidiaries while keeping current with legal developments that relate to areas of responsibility. Review, draft and negotiate a variety of contracts covering the procurement of goods and services on behalf of Corporation and its subsidiaries. Provide proactive training and support to sourcing group and business lines on commercial risk and legal issues. Learn and/or keep current with changes or new developments and reporting requirements to ensure compliance. Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) or Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school required. 3+ years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department required. Experience with the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts preferred. Must be License to practice law in Missouri or Illinois, or willing to become licensed in Missouri or Illinois required. Must have good writing and communication skills and be capable of drafting and/or reviewing legal documents for company personnel and providing legal advice to the various departments within the company. Ability to interact collaboratively with clients required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and human relations skills also required. Working knowledge of Westlaw or equivalent, Internet, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications also required.
