Senior Corporate Counsel

Senior Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Negotiate, draft, and review agreements with current and potential customers, including subscription agreements, professional services agreements, statements of work, etc. Provide strategic and practical legal advice to business units, particularly sales, but also to include professional services, customer support, engineering, compliance, and other departments with customer-facing responsibilities. Support the continuous improvement of document templates, alternate language playbooks, internal resource documents, etc. Assist the Director of Legal in providing oversight of, and mentoring to, the rest of the legal team. Deliver training and guidance to employees on legal issues, best practices, and company policies. Complete special projects as requested.

Requirements: JD from an accredited law school and an active member of the MA Bar. 7+ years of relevant legal experience, with 3+ years of experience negotiating customer agreements. In-house experience at a high-growth SaaS or software company. Skilled at developing strong working relationships with other business units despite having conflicting priorities and interests. Excellent interpersonal skills, business judgment, and strategic thinking. Ability to analyze problems and recommend practical solutions that balance legal and business risks. Flexible with a service-oriented mentality. Interest in mentoring and providing guidance to junior members of the legal team. Capable of operating successfully in a fast-paced environment that places a strong premium on excellence, execution, integrity, and teamwork.
