Associate General Counsel - Commercial & Corporate

Associate General Counsel - Commercial & Corporate The candidate will be drafting, negotiating, reviewing and supporting the entire lifecycle of commercial agreements for all aspects of Transdev s business including large transportation service proposals and agreements, procurement contracts, licensing agreements and leases. Will extensive collaboration with internal business team on business strategy as well as interpretation, management and identification of risk. Will provide legal support for general corporate matters including joint ventures and partnerships, new business endeavors and merger & acquisition activity; Retention and oversight of outside counsel as appropriate. The candidate should have Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required; Bachelor s Degree and JD with admission to one or more state bar (including District of Columbia); 6-8 years of Legal experience. Law Firm experience highly preferred. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills; Solid focus and attention to detail. Will prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic and time sensitive environment; Self-directed individual with ability to work independently yet also work collaboratively with legal team as well as with a highly matrixed internal client base; ability to synthesize complicated legal and business issues into practical and effective guidance; Excellent critical thinking, drafting, and negotiation skills with ability to work collaboratively with business partners to identify and allocate risk within contracts and resolve using commercially reasonable terms; High degree of integrity and intellectual curiosity; Experience with transportation industry or public procurement and fluency in French are a plus; Travel requirement outside of immediate area may be up to 30%.
