Litigation Counsel The candidate will support a team that manages litigation and pre-litigation threats across a variety of areas of law - financial services, corporate, and general commercial matters. Will drive early resolution of pre-litigation consumer financial services issues. Assist in investigations, including regulatory and other governmental inquiries. Work with outside counsel in devising litigation strategies. Collaborate with policy team on litigation-related issues and risk in new markets. Help develop scalable solutions for dispute resolution challenges. Support commercial recovery efforts through litigation strategies. Provide training for business partners on new regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree and State Bar admission in good standing. California Bar admission is strongly preferred. Must have 3-5 years of litigation experience, including 3 years of law firm experience. Specialized knowledge of consumer financial services, including federal regulations such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA)/Regulation Z, Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)/Regulation B, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act required. Experience in class actions is preferred. Familiarity with e-discovery issues is desired.
