Counsel, Litigation and Intellectual Property The candidate will be an exceptional addition to growing Litigation and Intellectual Property team. As an IP Litigator at company, will play an integral role on day one with the team at company responsible for addressing IP issues on Emmy nominated content, resolving litigation issues at the forefront of where entertainment and technology meet, and helping redefine the way people think about TV. Tasks will include assisting with pre-litigation and litigation matters along with managing company s growing intellectual property portfolios. The right person for this role is well-versed with the principles of intellectual property law, has experience at each stage of a litigation, and is intellectually curious about future developments in law and entertainment. Handle pre-litigation disputes in a wide range of subject areas, including copyright, viewer experience, employment, and insurance. Manage company s trademark and copyright portfolios and assist in the management of company s patent portfolio. Respond to government subpoenas and third-party discovery requests. Assist the Litigation and Intellectual Property team with active litigations, including reviewing and revising filings, managing discovery, and conducting witness interviews.

The candidate should have J.D. degree from a top-tier law school. Must have 4-7 years of total legal experience. Should have 3 years at a nationally-recognized law firm focusing on litigation. Must have experience with copyright and trademark litigation. Experience managing litigation-related discovery, including supervising document review and production, resolving discovery disputes, and preparing witnesses for deposition is needed. Prior representation of internet, entertainment, and/or media companies is preferred. Experience with breach of contract litigation, consumer class actions, and/or patent litigation is desired.
