Senior Corporate Counsel / Corporate Counsel - Labor & Employment Duties: Provide counsel to and work closely with human resources on a broad range of employment matters, including recruiting, hiring, benefits, compensation, employee relations, discipline, terminations, harassment, discrimination, wage and hour compliance, and strategies for managing risk around employment matters. Handle and/or direct investigations and manage the L&E investigation function. Conduct ongoing review and revision of AECOM s human resources policies. Prepare and conduct employment law training programs for human resources and management, manage Company training programs in conjunction with HR. Manage claims/litigation and outside counsel. Ensure the Company s compliance with federal, state, local and international employment laws and regulations.

Requirements: Law degree with a license to practice in the State of California. 3+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably including in-house employment law experience. Substantial litigation experience or experience managing litigation. Experience with internal and external investigations, including responding to administrative agency charges. Experience in analyzing non-compete/non-solicit agreements and drafting cease and desist letters. In depth knowledge of federal and California employment laws and regulations including Title VII, FEHA, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, EEO laws, wage and hour and other federal and local laws affecting the employer-employee relationship. Experience with AAPs and OFCCP audits. Knowledge and experience with traditional labor law, particularly in the engineering and construction industry, is a plus. Demonstrate successful ability to integrate with and provide strategic counsel to Human Resources department and other internal business partners. Possess strong client-relations, interpersonal, written and oral communication and analytic skills. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally with all levels of management regarding complex employment legal issues. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and juggle multiple priorities and work with various stakeholders.
