Corporate Counsel, Client Strategy The candidate will provide legal advice in respect of promotional activities, communications, and collateral. Will work with the responsible VP, AGC as directed on commercial insurance matters, specialist advice for company's vertical products, and international business opportunities. Work with the responsible VP, AGC on integration activities with regard to acquired companies. Act as liaison between the Legal Department and other departments to promote an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance. Provide advice and counsel to Marketing, Sales Enablement and Client Services teams including review of proposed promotional activities, communications, and collateral. Develop and implement guides and ongoing training strategies for all content creators within company including Marketing, Sales Enablement and Client Services. Work closely with the VP, AGC to develop strategies to manage legal challenges with regard to specific market segments. Manage (under direction of the VP, AGC) integration activities for acquired companies. Responsible for a diverse range of commercial matters in a wide range of practice areas. Work closely with other attorneys, compliance personnel and other experts to help solve complex problems. Successfully influence and work with resources across cross-functional departments on commercial projects, including development of products and services. Devise processes and procedures to help support a rapidly-growing, unique business. Other special projects and responsibilities based on the skills and interests of the candidate and needs within the company.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Should be a member in good standing with a State Bar. Must have 5-7 years of practicing experience (a mix of firm and public company in-house experience preferred). Should have extensive experience educating, advising, and counseling all levels of employees, including executives. Must have strong understanding of: legal issues with respect to marketing and sales collateral (including issues associated with online presence and reviews); US laws related to call centers and outbound sales; and legal and business issues associated with a US business operating in international jurisdictions. Occasional travel will be required.
