Ethics and Compliance Attorney

Ethics and Compliance Attorney The candidate will provide legal counsel on and support the development of the strategy, delivery, and evaluation of the Ethics and Compliance program. Work with leadership of the Ethics and Compliance Office to ensure that the program meets requirements for an effective compliance program, including set out in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Assist with the development and implementation of compliance processes that internal stakeholders can monitor. Participate in Ethics and Compliance actions to mitigate risk as described under the enterprise risk management framework. Monitor regulatory changes, propose measures to comply with new legal requirements, and provide subject matter expertise on gifts and gratuities, post-government employment, human subjects research, and conflicts of interest. Assist with other Ethics and Compliance functions, including Code of Conduct and policy revisions, training, and communications. Support other programs in the areas of privacy, anti-corruption, competition, export control, and anti-money laundering, as needed. JD degree is required. Must have Bar admission in any state or the District of Columbia. Should have 5+ years of experience in working with a corporate ethics and compliance program. Must have experience with government contracting, including application of the FAR and DFAR. Experience in a corporate law department preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must have ability to build consensus on difficult legal and business issues.
