Corporate Counsel The candidate will support the GBT team and other stakeholders to recognize and manage risks, mitigation strategies, negotiate strategic agreements, advise on regulatory and contractual compliance, and assist with operational matters. Will negotiate, coordinate, and execute multiple contracts at the same time. Work with multiple regions of the world, while aligning the business activities within VF with recognized best practices. Present legal advice and data in a manner that supports accurate and appropriate decisions concerning the category and business strategy. Negotiate regional/national/global agreements to ensure that the selection of suppliers and services, and the legal terms of the engagement and transactions, meets all of VF's requirements, policies, and practices. Serve as liaison between the legal department and business stakeholder to streamline the process, protect the best interest of VF contractually, and ensure successful and timely contract implementations. Follow up routinely as to the accuracy, direction, and completion of objectives to ensure process efficiency and keep open the lines of communication with all concerned parties. Continuously develop skills and knowledge of marketplace through research, due diligence, training, bench-marking and other means. Continuously develop understanding of legal risks and advise business stakeholders accurately of legal and other risks associated with proposed activities. Demonstrate professional ethics, a positive demeanor, support of the client s goals, and enthusiasm for the success of VF at all times. JD degree from a highly-reputable, ABA-accredited law school is needed. Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one state Bar/jurisdiction is needed. Should have 5+ years of related business and professional experience, preferably with a focus on information technology. In-house experience is preferred. Experience working on multiple projects with often rushed and shortened timelines is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of software licenses, cloud computing and software products and related hardware is needed. Ability to lead, influence and advise at all levels of the VF organization is needed. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey a positive, can-do attitude is needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required. Advanced word processing and MS Office skills, especially in MS Word and MS Excel is needed.
