Senior Corporate Counsel - Hospital Operations Duties: Advises management on a wide variety of legal matters, providing support on commercial concerns, negotiations, and regulatory issues across a broad range of legal subjects. Performs legal services, as appropriate, on matters under the direction of the Legal Department's other functional divisions, including, without limitation, innovation, and technology, care management, communication and marketing, hospital operations, strategy, and growth, regulatory and compliance, managed care and real estate. Acts as a strategic legal advisor, counselor and business partner in support of Executive and Senior Management Teams ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, rules and regulations, industry and internal standards. Under the direction of the AGC, performs legal services for, represents and supports management/leadership teams for the corporate functions, with a particular focus on the corporate, business, regulatory and transactional activities, affairs and operations. Performs legal services, as appropriate, on matters under the direction of the Legal Department's other functional divisions, including, without limitation, innovation and technology, care management, communication and marketing, hospital operations, strategy and growth, regulatory and compliance, managed care and real estate. Advises management on a wide variety of legal matters, providing support on commercial concerns, negotiations, and regulatory issues across a broad range of legal subjects.

Qualifications: JD degree or equivalent degree from an accredited law school. Licensure: Admission to California State Bar or eligibility under the registered In-House Counsel provisions and licensure in good standing without any instances of suspension. 7+ years of legal experience the majority of which is Hospital Operations. Strong preference for local Pasadena candidate. Must have Hospital Operations legal experience as a lawyer. Knowledge of planning and organizing concepts and best practices and ability to mobilize both time and resources to get things done. Understanding of the necessity of moving forward with less than perfect information and ability to flexibly and comfortably adapt to changing work demands. Knowledge of and ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from both legal and factual information. Knowledge of federal, state and local healthcare related laws and regulations; ability to comply with these in healthcare practices and activities.
