Attorney-Employment-based Immigration Law The candidate will prepare and file employment-based immigration petitions with US government agencies, under supervision of Managing Director and in accordance with firm s turn-around processing time commitment. Will consult and advise clients on immigration laws to determine eligibility and long-term immigration strategy. Prepare professional correspondence to clients and government agencies. Implement office procedures in the preparation of documents, maintenance of database, and organization of files. Regularly communicate with clients in writing and by phone to determine eligibility for immigration law benefit, review strategy and processes for employment-based immigration law matters. Conduct legal research to ensure regulatory and statutory compliance. Efficiently and effectively manage an active caseload of 150+ cases. Review case documents to determine eligibility for immigration benefit and need for additional documentary evidence. Review and analyze case documents to proactively determine any future immigration issues for employer, principal and/or any dependents. Provide guidance and represent clients during government interviews for non-immigrant and immigrant petition matters. Work independently to monitor progress of document collection, preparation and filing of documents, and handling by government or third-party agency. Prepare and revise legal and supporting documents for non-immigrant petitions: H-1B, TN, E-1, E-2, E-3, L-1, B-1, J-1, and other related non-immigrant petitions and applications. Prepare L-1 Blanket petitions, new office L-1s, and individual L-1 petitions and preparing E-1/E-2 corporate registration applications. Audit detailed data in firm s case management system for cases managed to ensure 100% accuracy. Implement office procedures in maintaining accurate database records and organized files. Prepare written visa application process instructions for various US Consulates for clients. Include conducting Internet research and communicating with US Consulates directly. Manage and oversee case preparation for high volume of employment-based permanent residence cases under PERM and EB-1 processes. Manage and oversee case preparation and test of US labor market. Prepare and review PERM applications and recruitment report. Prepare and revise employment-based immigrant petitions and supporting documents for EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3 categories. Review and revise applications for adjustment of status, related applications (including Employment. Authorization Document, and Advance Parole Document applications) and supporting documents. Prepare and revise immigrant visa applications and supporting documents for submission to U.S. Consulate for processing. Monitor the processing of the application through the National Visa Center and the respective US Consulate. Review and revise family-based immigrant petitions, supporting documentation and related applications. Monitor progress of petitions with government and conduct inquiries on a timely manner with appropriate government agency on the processing of a petition or application. Continuously manage to do list and calendar to efficiently manage case activity on all cases assigned. Prepare legal documents and related correspondence for transmittal to client and submission to government agencies. Efficiently and effectively manage an active caseload of 150+ cases. Draft and review petitions and preparing supporting documents for employment-based non-immigrant petitions: E-1/E-2, E-3, H-1B, TN, L-1, and B-1 petitions. Prepare L-1 Blanket petitions, new office L-1s, and individual L-1 petitions; and preparing E-1/E-2 corporate registration applications. Draft, review and revise PERM applications for submission with U.S. Department of Labor. Draft and manage recruitment materials in support of test of U.S. labor market for USDOL filings; and analyzing recruitment results, and drafting and revising summary of recruitment results of the test of U.S. labor market. Draft and revise immigrant petitions (I-140) and supporting applications for adjustment of status, Employment Authorization Document, and Advance Parole Document for submission to government. Use MS-Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and detailed case management database system. Should have JD Degree from US University. Must have an Active License to practice in one state in US. Should have 3 years of experience.
