Sr. Associate General Counsel, Finance & Corporate Restructuring

Senior Associate General Counsel, Finance & Corporate Restructuring The candidate will be responsible for the oversight of legal matters, including contract negotiations, on a global basis. Serves as the final point of contact on issues before escalation to the Vice President, Global Legal Affairs and/or executive management for approval. Develop and train more junior Legal Department staff members on a global basis. Serve as escalation point on matters that require executive management approval. Manage Staff Attorneys and Directors, Global Legal Affairs. Supervise Staff Attorneys and Directors, Global Legal Affairs on resolution of legal and business issues, and review and approve their work and proposals. Negotiate customer contracts, particularly those with strategic and/or financial significance. Support strategic projects, such as mergers & acquisitions. Approve, develop, negotiate and review a broad range of corporate contracts, policies and documents. Advise senior business management and other Legal Department members on legal and business issues. Oversee outside counsel as they represent the Corporation in court and administrative hearings. Provide training to new Legal Department employees and BD employees via company or otherwise. Conduct performance reviews and set goals and objectives for direct reports to support career development. Comply with, and follow, all Company policies and procedures. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The candidate should have Juris Doctorate degree or international equivalent degree. Admission to the Florida Bar or other state bar membership or overseas equivalent, and to the extent applicable, Authorized In-House Counsel Certification required. Must have 10-15 years of Legal experience or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience. Previous management experience is a must. Experience in general corporate and contract matters, including the ability to independently draft and negotiate manufacturing, supply and/or design agreements.
