Corporate Counsel - Real Estate & Corporate Generalist The candidate will take ownership of all legal matters relating to development of new restaurants and a large portfolio of leased and owned properties. Provide general legal advice and support for contract negotiations and general corporate matters. Learn business priorities, such as financial and operational objectives, and apply that perspective to legal issues in a way that achieves key results. Draft and negotiate leases, purchase sale agreements, amendments, easements, SNDAs and other real estate documents. Perform or supervise real estate due diligence for new developments. Partner with business teams to negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements. Review or draft general corporate documents, such as formation documents and bylaws. Advise management on legal risks. Resolve real estate and contract disputes in a cost efficient manner. J.D. from an accredited law school, and license to practice law in at least one state and 3-5 years of relevant experience required. Desire to develop additional competencies, ability to learn efficiently and willingness to take on additional responsibility required. Strong communication skills, including excellent writing ability required.
