Corporate Counsel, IP The candidate will assist in the drafting and management of intellectual property issues.. Will draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including license agreements, strategic partnerships, software transactions, open source licenses and related services. Interact with other Legal Department staff members, company employees, outside counsel and opposing counsel, including department members in the U.S., APAC, and EMEA. Work closely with our global engineering team during concept, development and execution of new products and processes. Conduct internal training and oversight to assure compliance with intellectual property rights of third-parties. Work with outside counsel for prosecution and protection of patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Assist global sales team to provide legal diligence to successfully close transactions in a manner consistent with Company policies and best interests. Perform other general corporate law functions and provide other general corporate law advice as needed. Provide other legal support to the Legal Department team and company, as needed. Graduate of an accredited American law school and currently licensed to practice law in good standing in the state of Nevada or another U.S. state in which they reside is needed. Admission to practice before the USPTO is a plus. Should have 5+ years of related experience. Experience in the technology industry is needed. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Experience with Go To Meeting is a plus. Experience in intellectual property litigation is a plus. Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to prepare legal analyses and reports, to lead or participate in conference calls, and conduct meetings with third parties are needed.
