Employment Counsel

Employment Counsel The candidate will report directly to our Corporate AGC. Will be responsible for the wide range of employment-related matters that impact 1000+ firm all across the globe. Provide expert counsel on domestic and international employment-related issues, including HR best practices, ethics and compliance, employee relations/investigations, hiring/exits, restrictive covenants, employee mobility, wage and hour and fedgov contracting compliance. Guide the strategic direction of the employment legal practice Cultivate a deep partnership with the firm People and Culture team, finance team, and other stakeholders across the globe to drive cross-functional, complex projects. Craft and operationalize scalable employment policies and programs that enhance firm unique culture, and constantly innovate and improve upon them. Proactively identify, assess and manage risk; design and deliver internal compliance training initiatives. Design scalable self-service capabilities for People and Culture and other internal teams. Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including employment contracts, incentive compensation plans, and vendor agreements.

The candidate should have experience providing quick, solution-oriented counsel to business stakeholders of all levels. High emotional intelligence and business acumen, combined with deep employment law expertise is essential. Prior experience in-house, preferably at a high-growth technology company is essential. Must have 4-7 years of legal experience in employment-related matters. Experience in CA and international employment law is preferred. Must be current member in good standing of the California Bar (or other state, and willing to register as in-house counsel in California). Must have Bachelor's and JD degree from accredited law school, with a strong record of academic achievement.
