Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel The candidate drafts, reviews, and negotiates equipment leases, purchase and sale agreements, repair and other contracts. Ensures compliance with legal, contractual, and risk management policies to minimize and limit corporate liability, manage risk, and optimize value of such contracts. Recommends alternative actions with respect to such contracts as required to conform to corporate policies and strategies. Coordinates with and oversees the work of outside counsel related to such contracts. Oversees compliance with applicable statues and regulations, reviews pertinent laws and regulations, and provides legal advice to all company departments and staff with respect to such contracts. Coordinates responses to subpoenas and other legal requests. Possesses and maintains thorough, current knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws related to such contracts. Strong academic credentials from a top tier, accredited law school is needed. Should preferably have 4 - 7 years of transactional experience in the equipment leasing or aviation arena, with training from a major national or international law firm and/or a recognized industry participant. Excellent written and oral communication skills are needed. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.
