Corporate Counsel Duties: Provide legal advice for assigned client group(s) on a variety of issues, with a primary focus on contractual and transactional matters involving sales and distribution, procurement, and product development and safety matters; possible engagement in real estate, environmental, government contracts and labor and employment issues. Draft, analyze and review a wide variety of contracts customarily utilized by a diversified industrial company. Manage litigation and claims relating to commercial, contractual and product liability matters, labor and employment claims, environmental, occupational safety and health and routine governmental inquiries. Act as primary liaison and responsible party with outside counsel and other professional consultants regarding pertinent matters for which they are retained. Provide training and education to client base on a wide variety of legal topics. Proactively manage the legal affairs of assigned client group(s) through identification and explanation of risks and issues and continuous monitoring of legal needs. Actively gain a deep understanding of the business condition, strategies, objectives, competitive environment, risks and opportunities of the assigned client groups.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited U.S. law school, licensed to practice, preferably in Wisconsin (or willing to become licensed) and an excellent overall academic record. 3-7 years of legal practice experience, including significant client contact, with a preference for broad exposure to corporate legal issues. Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written. Approachable, confident leadership style. Proven ability to manage confidentiality, conflict and risk effectively. Desire and ability to work with diverse teams in a collaborative fashion. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and operate in an environment where ambiguity exists.
