Corporate Counsel - Resort Operations The candidate will providing legal advice and assistance on a variety of commercial and operational matters, providing all facets of legal counsel to the Company s diverse ski resort, hospitality and adventure operations. Will work closely with legal and business teams to negotiate and draft contracts and advise with respect to all aspects of resort operations. The successful applicant will have at least three to five years of corporate / commercial experience and strong interpersonal / communication skills. Review, draft, and negotiate a heavy volume and wide variety of contracts, including entertainment, sales, food and beverage, lodging, event, marketing, sponsorship, supply, equipment agreements, and maintenance and service contracts. Advise on contest, sweepstakes, promotions, and advertising compliance, particularly on social media and digital platforms and create official rules and other supporting documentation. Conduct research on a wide variety of issues. Coordinate ongoing regulatory compliance with respect to matters such as business, liquor and child care licensing. Collaborate with legal department colleagues and policy specialists on various legal and regulatory issues. Interact with vendors and vendors counsel regarding commercial agreement negotiation and support. Work with legal, business and operations teams to improve contracting processes and management, including developing internal policies regarding the same. Assist in the development or improvement of various template agreements to be used wherever appropriate throughout the organization. Law degree from internationally recognized university / law school are needed. Must be currently admitted or eligible for reciprocal admission to practice law in the State of Colorado. Should have 3 - 5 years of continuous legal experience with in-house/corporate experience desirable or Significant experience as a business lawyer at a major Canadian or American law firm. Employment law experience is an asset. Knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations are needed. Must be able to efficiently handle multiple priorities and deadlines and must possess strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and with a high level of business acumen are needed. French language an asset. Excellent analytical and interpretive skills with the ability to summarize and draw conclusions are needed.
