Associate Corporate Counsel Trade Compliance and International Duties: Providing day-to-day legal advice and compliance guidance on trade compliance, anti-bribery and data protection/privacy legal and regulatory matters and related company policies and procedures across the company, e.g.: supporting export licensing and authorization activities, e.g., application preparation and processing and license maintenance; advising on export compliance matters in contracts and transactions; conducting due diligence of prospective third party business partners using various online tools and resources (e.g., Lexis, SalesForce) and necessary follow-up actions; preparing summary reports of due diligence results; identifying compliance red flags, if any. Drafting and negotiating contracts including non-disclosure agreements, equipment supply and services contracts, and various customer and vendor agreements; Providing legal advice and guidance on interpretation and enforcement of executed contracts and other matters affecting the Company s business relationships, requiring appropriate research, advice, correspondence and follow-up; Providing legal advice and guidance in support of the HughesNet South America business on various topics, including subscriber agreements and policies and data protection and privacy matters; Working closely with various levels of the organization and providing legal advice as needed; and Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction. 1-2 years of experience in a legal department or law firm working on regulatory and compliance matters affecting multinational companies, commercial contracts and/or international business transactions. ITAR Access required. Preferred: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to be engaged and interact with a variety of business people at different levels of the company. Attention to detail, strong organization skills and ability to work efficiently while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. Display a high degree of integrity, personal judgment and confidentiality. Experience performing third party vetting and due diligence (e.g., restricted party screening) and drafting regulatory-based business processes and procedures is a plus. Experience with online research tools, such as Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw or other due diligence/data analytics platforms.
