M&a/global Trade Compliance Attorney

M&A / Global Trade Compliance Attorney The candidate will support the company's M&A activities from an Ethics and Compliance perspective, as well as to lead the Global Trade Compliance Program. Will actively support company's Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer by ensuring that the company has a first class and effective Global Trade Compliance Program and to ensure proper management and review of M&A transactions. Provide compliance support for corporate transactional activities, including US and international acquisitions and joint venture transactions. Perform and coordinate compliance based due diligence. Oversee the integration of completed acquisitions from a compliance perspective. Manage outside counsel. Attend corporate transactional meetings and interact with a cross-functional team of senior leaders. Oversee the Global Trade Compliance Program including all policies, procedures and user guides. Advise on the impact of export controls, economic sanctions, anti-money laundering, anti-boycott, and related laws. Design company-wide protocols to ensure compliance with sanctions screenings. Monitor updates to export laws and regulations; modify export processes and procedures as necessary to ensure compliance. Develop and support training on export controls and related topics. Should have a J.D. degree with active Bar membership in good standing in the US. Must have 5+ years of relevant experience. Program management experience is required. Should have ability to work globally and across all function and departments.
