Litigation Attorney

Litigation Attorney Must have practical litigation experience and experience in related areas sufficient to independently lead investigations, evaluate claims asserted against the company, select and supervise outside counsel, develop overall case strategy, and provide advice to Company executives. Strong leadership skills and the knowledge and judgment to interact effectively with senior management of the company on issues that may have significant impact on the Company. May be overseeing responses to subpoenas and overseeing outside litigation, including but not limited to responding to discovery demands, attending depositions and/or trials, and resolving cases. Providing regular reports to senior management regarding the status of litigation and related matters. Overall, the position requires someone who can operate in a fast paced environment and handle a large caseload.

Qualifications: JD Degree with a record of high academic achievement in the undergraduate level and in law school preferred; member of at least one state Bar. 5+ years experience of legal experience in the litigation area, preferably with a well-established law firm and/or corporate legal department. First or second chair trial and arbitration experience is preferred. Plus factors include vacation ownership or hospitality industry experience, international law experience and proficiency in Spanish. Experience managing attorneys and/or staff. Ability to identify areas of risk and develop and execute strategies to mitigate. Strong management and leadership capabilities. Exceptional judgment and critical thinking. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and leadership skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills; acute attention to detail.
