Assistant General Counsel - Compliance And Ethics

Assistant General Counsel - Compliance and Ethics The candidate will be primarily responsible for developing, implementing and/or enhancing of corporate compliance programs and initiatives, including policies, training, counseling of executive management and subsidiary management and a wide range of related activities. While the primary focus will be compliance efforts in the Americas, will be part of a global compliance team responsible for global initiatives around the company. Also be responsible for assisting with the management of this growing legal department.

The candidate should have J.D. Degree from an ABA accredited law school and membership in good standing with one State Bar. Must have 12+ years of combined experience in a corporate legal department for a global organization, government entity/regulator (such as the SEC or DOJ) or at a major law firm, with primary responsibility for corporate compliance programs, initiatives and training. General experience with competition law would be a plus. Previous experience in a corporate law department of a foreign-based global manufacturing company is preferred. Must have strong candidates will possess exceptional communication skills, an ability to work in a collegial, business-centered environment, and an intrinsic interest in learning new areas of law. Experience with a large global organization working on compliance-related issues in the U.S. and elsewhere is required. Experience in developing, drafting, promulgating and maintaining policies, standards and procedures in key risk areas and ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders to integrate these policy requirements into global operations is required. Experience in developing, implementing and/or enhancing in-house training programs is required.
