VP, Real Estate and Commercial Attorney

VP, Real Estate and Commercial Attorney The candidate will be responsible for: Helping the Group understand and manage its legal and regulatory risks, we will play a critical role in supporting the businesses as they sharpen their focus on the markets, products and clients that give the firm a competitive advantage. Achieving best-in-class quality through a continued focus on operating in a cost effective way, we will enable the group to accelerate the delivery of shareholder value by achieving a better cost income ratio and improving the returns of our core businesses. Emphasizing teamwork, we can help the group become more customer-focused, and eliminate unnecessary hierarchy and bureaucracy. Real estate and commercial council, supporting the US Commercial Real Estate Services team in connection with all leasing, lease management, facilities management, and construction transactions/arrangements relating to the firm real property portfolio in the Americas. Draft, negotiate and provide ongoing advice regarding real estate leases, subleases and license agreements. Draft and negotiate design and construction agreements for capital projects. Represent the firm in acquisitions and divestitures of real property. Monitor and support all litigation relating to the firm real property portfolio in the Americas. Draft and negotiate a variety of procurement agreements unrelated to real estate, such as: professional services; software licensing and SAAS; data licensing; and benefits. Engage and oversee outside counsel. Key advisor to the regional real estate team, with an opportunity to help shape strategy. Should have J.D. degree from a top-tier law school. New York Bar admission in good standing is essential. Should have 4+ years of experience as a real estate attorney. Should preferably have in-depth knowledge and understanding of real estate law and real estate industry standards.
