Staff Compliance Counsel The candidate will serve on the corporate legal and compliance teams led by the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Will report to the Associate General Counsel, and focus on supporting the work of the Manager, Compliance and Ethics Program, the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Privacy Officer. Also provide advice and counsel on general corporate and transactional matters, participate in contracting and transactional activity, and as otherwise requested by the General Counsel or Associate General Counsel. Focus on supporting the regulatory compliance-related work of the Manager, Compliance & Ethics Program, the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Privacy Officer. Responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing assigned legal agreements and other transactional work at the company and working with the business lead in negotiating such agreements. Provide advice and counsel on company compliance with regulatory legal issues, as requested. Work in a team environment to manage compliance matters. Interact with all levels of management, which may include senior management. The candidate should have Juris Doctorate degree (JD) from accredited law school. Must be Member of Florida Bar, or immediate eligibility for Authorized House Counsel status. Must have 1-4 years of experience in law firm as corporate and transactional associate or in-house corporate transactional department. Should have a Law degree. Knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry, regulatory compliance, health law and technology law preferred. Privacy certifications desirable. Demonstrates knowledge or experience in healthcare law, technology law, cloud computing, SaaS, software license agreements, data privacy, HIPAA/HITECH, Omnibus and other laws, accreditations and regulations specific to the software and technology industry is required. Demonstrates experience in general corporate matters, including corporate organization, governance and enterprise risk management is required. Demonstrates experience drafting transactional documents, and managing trade secrets, data governance and IP issues is required. Experience with the health care industry, software companies, Enterprise Risk Management, regulatory compliance programs strongly preferred. Knowledge of healthcare industry, health law and technology law highly desirable. Knowledge of employment, immigration and intellectual property law, preferred.
