SVP, Associate General Counsel and Global Privacy and Regulatory Attorney

SVP, Associate General Counsel and Global Privacy and Regulatory Attorney Duties: Provide guidance and assist in the identification of privacy and security issues and data use in all company jurisdictions and monitor associated regulatory change. Advise internal clients on enterprise data privacy laws and obligations. Advise Human Resources on employee privacy issues. Assist in implementing new policies for the new European General Protection Law (GDPR). Advise digital and product organization on design and implementation of user interfaces and processes to protect customer privacy. Maintain oversight of contractual obligations of Company Binding Corporate Rules. Advise internal clients on general regulatory inquiries related to products and services. Maintain global inventory of law process and change management process for company. Oversee business licensing filings and renewals. Advise on cybersecurity issues and data breach laws. Qualifications: JD Degree with strong academic credentials. Admission to practice of law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. 10-15 years law firm or in-house experience with substantive privacy background and experience. License in good standing to practice law. One or more CIPP certifications. Payments or financial services industry experience preferred. Privacy Program Management experience. Understanding of online advertising, including related tracking technologies. Excellent computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint). Knowledge of business processes and the ability to work within the general business organization. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Products. Ability to efficiently, effectively and simultaneously manage a variety of tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must have ability to interact and partner with internal clients and customers and build working relationships with all levels of management. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills. Legal regulatory research and analysis skills using Westlaw and other research tools. Willingness to work as a team and be flexible. Practical, business oriented approach to problem solving, tempered by an appreciation of legal complexity and risk.
