Senior Counsel Litigation/Cybersecurity DUTIES: Manage a broad range of pre-litigation disputes and litigation, including product and service claims, intellectual property infringement, employment, contract disputes, and health information claims. Monitor and evaluate incoming claims, including those received through registered agents, provide initial risk assessment, and implement necessary document preservation holds. Manage pre-litigation dispute resolution and settlements for assigned matters. Interview and select outside counsel, provide early case assessment, determine matter budget and strategy, including discovery plan, and provide advice regarding establishing appropriate reserves. Report matters to risk management, and determine applicable insurance coverages and exclusions for each matter. Prepare litigation reports for executive management, internal and external auditors, and risk management. Provide legal support on cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection issues including monitoring regulatory requirements, breach notification requirements, law enforcement advisories, and industry standards. Provide legal advice for developing, implementing, and updating (i) information security policies, (ii) vendor information security risk assessment and management, and (iii) pre-planning and testing for data breach response and notification. Serving as the legal liaison with the FBI and other law enforcement officials regarding date security and breaches.

Qualifications: A law degree (JD Degree ) from a nationally recognized United States educational institution, and be fluent in English. Must have 10+ years ?Ę relevant experience practicing law with a nationally recognized law firm or the corporate law department of a medium-to-large sized company. Experience must include significant lead management of claims and litigation including class actions, mediation and arbitration, governmental investigations and subpoenas, and adverse regulatory charges. Candidates must have significant experience with providing advice to corporate clients on cybersecurity and date protection legal issues, and with implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines to deal with those issues. International experience with litigation and or cybersecurity issues is preferred. The position requires proficiency in the use of technology applications for litigation matter management, knowledge management, document preservation and discovery, and management of outside counsel.
