Corporate Counsel Duties: Coordinate and manage litigation, including outside counsel, for North American subsidiary of an international Testing, Inspection and Certification ( TIC ) Company. Interact with company insurers as needed and required for the proper handling and reporting of new claims, existing claims, policy renewals and covered litigation. Draft, review, revise and negotiate company contracts and agreements, which will include: standard corporate contracts, client/non-standard contracts, NDAs, MOU, and subcontractor agreements. Assist business professional with requests for proposals ( RFP ) and requests for information ( RFI ). Regularly interface with and serve as a resource to senior management, in the U.S. and abroad, to facilitate collaboration on corporate issues, strategies, processes and procedures. Provide legal support to human resources as needed regarding employment related matters, including: non-compete agreements, non-solicitation, termination, return of company property, prevailing wage, and workers compensation. Assist in the risk management process, which includes national presentations to business professionals, modifying and drafting local risk management policies and procedures, as well as the coordination with overall corporate risk management process. Provide educational and training services to business professionals to ensure their compliance with corporate policies, government regulations and industry standards. Respond as appropriate to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures, including reporting to and interfacing with authorized enforcement agencies. Oversee, issues concerning external regulatory agencies. Keep informed of industry specific regulations and ensure that appropriate legal risk management strategies are in place. Propose strategies for the management of legal risk as needed.

Qualifications: JD Degree. 5+ years of experience in facilities management, real estate administration, construction project management and/ or related business areas. Admission and member in good standing of the bar of Florida or other state bar. Strong contract drafting, negotiation and analytical skills. Proven and effective negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external 3rd parties. Ability to convert technical terms or business needs into contract format. Sound judgment and ability to assess commercial issues and anticipate risks. Effective communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to work closely with business leaders in many different substantive areas. Able to adapt to a changing environment. Ability to work within a virtual team environment. Strong business acumen and responsive, service-oriented attitude. Desire to function as a true legal generalist; willingness to continually learn new subjects, rather than simply leveraging expertise in just one or a few areas. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demand. Knowledge of a variety of IS/IT applications in word processing, spreadsheets, document and database.
