Senior Counsel, Litigation The candidate will be responsible for oversight of dockets covering a wide variety of global legal disputes, including subject matters relating to employment, personal injury and premises liability, commercial disputes and general legal support. Senior Counsel, Litigation must be knowledgeable of litigation and trial practice in order to effectively manage outside counsel but must also be skilled in providing strategic and practical advice and counsel for global enterprise. BA or BS undergraduate degree and JD degree, with Bar admission in good standing in at least one state and must be able to qualify for admission to the Virginia or Georgia bar as corporate counsel, based on the work location is needed. Should have 5-10 years of experience in law firm litigation department, in-house litigation unit, or equivalent combination. Must have significant trial experience in general litigation and subject matter expertise in one or more of these following: employment, safety and health, personal injury and/or product liability. Experience in representing paper and packaging and/or manufacturing enterprises is also preferred. Experience with complex discovery tasks including document retrieval and production, interrogatory response preparation, depositions and motion practice is needed. Trial experience is preferred. Experience with team building, leadership and project management is preferred. Should have excellent written, verbal and analytical skills.
