Corporate Counsel, Mortgage Compliance Responsibilities: Providing regulatory compliance support for the business initiatives and strategic objectives of Two Harbors, including the servicing oversight group and the conversions team; Assisting the Mortgage Compliance Group with continuous evaluation and development of the Company s Compliance Management Program, including subservicer monitoring and oversight program; Providing guidance to remediate any identified gaps in internal or subservicer compliance controls (including policies & procedures, processes, monitoring & oversight and training) resulting from changes in regulatory requirements or changes in business operations; Researching and providing guidance on regulatory compliance issues that arise from subservicer monitoring, testing, compliance management system reviews, loan-level reviews, consumer complaints and new products and processes; Collaborating with other members of the Mortgage Compliance Group to identify regulatory changes, emerging compliance issues and best practices and to analyze, communicate and provide guidance on changes to regulatory requirements and their impact on internal or subservicer processes, policies and procedures; Providing support and guidance to Mortgage Compliance Group and business areas with respect to regulatory change management and maintenance of the regulatory rules database to ensure that policies, procedures and processes comply with applicable regulations; Maintaining strong current knowledge of federal and specific state mortgage servicing-related regulations, emerging trends in the industry and developments in regulator expectations; Oversee and, as needed, manage non-routing loan-level litigation related to the MSR portfolio; Assisting with state regulatory compliance and licensing matters; Assisting with drafting and maintaining mortgage compliance-related policies and procedures; Assisting with developing and delivering mortgage compliance training on specific topics; Assisting with preparation for and responding to regulatory exams; Maintaining a strong and effective working relationship with the Servicing Oversight and Conversions groups.

Qualifications: Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized schools (college/university and law school); 3+ years of relevant experience with a leading law firm or corporate legal department Strong legal and technical skills in regulatory review, analysis and interpretation; Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to establish personal credibility and demonstrate expertise ; Ability to independently complete multiple time-sensitive tasks; Demonstrated experience working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and complex environment; Excellent attention to detail is a must; Strong intelligence, education, experience, work ethic and character; Versatility, maturity and ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and Excellent oral and written communication skills.
