National Commercial Real Estate Attorney Responsibilities: The candidate will provide underwriting expertise and timely support to customers related to the issuance of real estate title commitments and policies for local and national transactions, including multi-site and multi-state projects. Provide expertise and guidance for the company in the performance of real estate settlement for buyers, builders, developers, lenders and other interested parties to the real estate transaction. Develop new business with and without the assistance of the Commercial Director of Business Development. Work with the CFO and the Director of Business Development in a leadership role to mandate exceptional customer service, operational efficiency and growth in commercial revenue. Manage paralegal staff and ensure quality of work. Perform due diligence for commercial real estate transactions. Review and summarize title commitments and surveys. Manage title companies to clear title and obtain title policies. Review and prepare summaries for UCCs, judgments, tax and other lien searches. Liaison between clients and underwriters with focus on client representation. Prepare and file real estate documents, including, deeds, mortgages, SNDA s, leases, and UCC financing statements. Obtain permits and other documents from agencies such as Department of Licenses and Inspections upon request. Coordinate with various city offices, boards, and agencies. Prepare closing checklists and binders and coordinate the closing process for commercial real estate transactions. Implementation, training and maintenance on RamQuest software. Analyze the title search/exam and create a title commitment. Draft necessary deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCCs and general correspondences. Note : This is a contract job.

Qualifications: The candidate should possess Bachelor s and J.D. degrees and active member in good standing of the Bar. Should have 6+ years of industry experience and management experience preferred High level of demonstrated customer service, and time management skills. Should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. RamQuest Closing operations system knowledge preferred but not required. Should have ability to read and interpret documents such as underwriting guideline matrix, lender s instructions, trust agreements, purchase contracts. 10 year background checks with no derogatory items for credit, criminal, prior positons. Must have ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
