Corporate Insurance Counsel/Attorney The candidate will involve reviewing, localizing, negotiating, and interpreting insurance and related risk allocation clauses in a wide variety of commercial agreements, including leases, manufacturing agreements, service agreements and others. Will involve supporting the Risk Management and Litigation Departments with claims pending before insurers and with policy interpretation issues. Involve assisting various business units, legal groups and Risk Management in insurance, risk management and risk allocation matters. Reviewing and negotiating insurance, indemnity and related risk allocation provisions in a broa d variety of commercial transactions on a global basis; developing training and education tools for use by internal groups in relation to the foregoing; and engaging in risk analysis discussions with business units and proactively suggesting methods within the construct of a contract to protect the interests of firm that go beyond insurance limits and indemnity provisions. Report to the Senior Corporate Insurance Attorney and is within the Corporate Law Department. Must have 4-6 years of risk management and commercial contract experience to join its legal team. Must have a strong background in both insurance interpretation and coverage issues as well as drafting and negotiating risk allocation provisions, including insurance, indemnity, risk of loss, limitations of liability and waiver of damages provisions, in a wide variety of commercial, construction services and real estate agreements.General experience in commercial contracts is preference, and experience in international commercial contracts is strongly preferred. Both law firm and in-house (public company) experience is preferred. Experience at a multi-national insurance broker providing contracts support to multinational companies is considered. Must have a JD degree or equivalent and possess excellent academic credentials. Must be a member in good standing of the Bar.
