Labor and Employment Attorney The candidate will provide legal advice, support and strategic guidance on general employment matters, including advising on employment issues, conducting investigations, developing and implementing employment policies and procedures and advising on employee terminations. Will oversee and assist in the administration and development of the Company s Compliance Program in North America, including assisting in investigations, preparing and reviewing communications, policies and procedures and identifying areas for continued improvement. Advise HR and management on day-to-day employment law and labor relations issues including: hiring; employee relations; discipline and terminations; recruiting; compliance with employment laws; and benefits. Advise the businesses on key areas of compliance. Provide leadership, guidance and support on compliance and ethics issues, including policy interpretation and compliance risk assessment. Train supervisors and managers on a variety of legal topics, including employment and compliance matters. Clear, succinct verbal and written communication skills are required. Must have JD degree from an ABA accredited law school and 3-7 years of legal practice focused on labor and employment issues. Should preferably have experience at a top tier law firm and/or in-house. Excellent verbal communications skills with internal customers, external vendors and consultants is needed. Experience working with employees from diverse backgrounds is must.
