Senior Counsel - Real Estate and Permitting The candidate will actively facilitate and drive real estate due diligence and agreements through negotiation, drafting and closing. Coordinate with project development team to ensure land-related components are financeable. Advise project teams on negotiations with various project stakeholders (e.g. landowners, regulatory agencies, governmental decision-makers, title companies, etc.). Provide pragmatic legal advice and sound risk assessments. Communicate across broad cross-functional transactional teams (project development, operations, finance, tax, risk management, accounting, legal and others). Navigate seamlessly between primary legal draftsperson/negotiator and close manager of outside counsel. Maintain and continuously improve standard form agreements, where applicable; such as option agreements, purchase and sale agreements, leases, term sheets and related form contracts. Advise management on policy-related matters that have the potential to impact the company s project development strategy. Other duties as assigned.

The candidate must have 7+ years of experience. Real estate counseling and negotiating experience required. Land use and permitting experience a plus. JD degree required. Active CA bar admission required. Significant experience with complex real estate matters are needed. Familiarity with environmental, land use, and natural resources issues is essential.
