Privacy Counsel The candidate will negotiate data processing agreements with customers and vendors. Will have lead responsibility for negotiating compliant data processing agreements with customers that fit our one-to-many model, while ensuring a great customer experience. In addition, you will provide support to our inbound team as they negotiate privacy agreements with our vendors. Provide privacy advice in connection with the development of new products and services. We are constantly expanding our product offerings, with a focus on building analytics applications. You will work with our product legal team to provide privacy compliance advice on products, including with respect to how new technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain interact with privacy laws. Provide legal advice in connection with firm's privacy compliance program. Provide advice on legal requirements and serve as a trusted counselor to the team. Engage with privacy regulators. Work with privacy team in responding to regulator inquiries and determining when to proactively reach out for guidance. Provide legal analysis and advice on our privacy policy positioning. In addition to ensuring compliance with privacy laws, we seek to shape the legal framework going forward. You will lead our work in responding to consultations on interpretations of existing law, providing input on new legislative proposals, and determining our overall positioning on the evolution of privacy law. The candidate should have J.D. Degree from accredited school and 4+ years experience. Must have experience providing privacy advice, including strong familiarity with the EU s General Data Protection Regulation. Experience negotiating data processing agreements, particularly in connection with cloud computing services is required. Must have experience providing privacy advice in connection with the development of new products and services, particularly in the technology/cloud computing spaces. Must have exposure to cutting edge privacy issues posed by machine learning, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. Familiarity with technology, with a focus on cloud computing, SaaS, cloud computing, enterprise software or social network environment is required.
