Corporate Counsel, Employment Policies and Compliance The candidate will be working as part of the company s Employment Law Team, will have responsibility for ensuring that the company s employment policies and procedures are current, in compliance with any changes to federal, state and local laws and regulations, and communicated appropriately to associates and managers. Will support North American operations for firm's Truck Leasing & firm's Logistics and work closely with the company s HR teams. Have responsibility for training needs associated with employment policies and procedures. Finally, participate in and support additional employment law compliance projects and other legal department needs as appropriate. Create, update, and interpret all company employment policies and rocedures that apply to associates and managers in North American operations. Stay up-to-date on employment law-related legislative and regulatory changes at the federal, state and local level, and implement policy changes as needed, including establishing the communication plan to rollout any policy changes. Maintain ownership of the company handbook. Conduct regular audits of policies and procedures and compliance matters. Prepare a quarterly newsletter for the company s HR team covering key employment law updates. Identify employment policy-related training needs and establish formal training plans as they relate to policies and procedures, create a training plan and ensure that appropriate training completions and acknowledgements are received and stored (including for the associate handbook). This may also include the creation of customized training to specific targeted audience groups on larger policy changes. Other legal department responsibilities as assigned, including responding to administrative charges from the EEOC, DOL, and state agencies, conducting investigations, assisting with litigation matters, and other compliance projects as identified by the VP Employment Law and Compliance.

The candidate must have 3 years of legal experience with exposure to employment law and compliance, including experience specific to litigation and research. Must have a juris doctor degree from an accredited law school. Must be licensed to practice law, preferably in Pennsylvania. Legal research and writing skills required. Strong communication & collaboration skills required. Must have strong presentation and training facilitation Skills.
