Corporate Counsel The candidate will be expected to work directly with business account team members and advise on a variety of day-to-day legal matters. Experience with consumer goods, retail/wholesale, intellectual property licensing, consultant and service agreement contract negotiation preferred. Will develop a deep understanding of Company s business and products and the applicable industry developments and requirements. Provide advice to the business on legal matters, including contract interpretation and enforcement, risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance and corporate policies. Resolve business disputes and, if necessary, assist in managing and participation in Company litigation, including but not limited to litigation focused on Company intellectual property. Assist and help manage contractual obligation monitoring and scheduling with the Contracts team. Work collaboratively with a broad range of people and departments throughout the organization to develop and maintain strong working relationships with legal, finance, commercial/marketing, and people services, to facilitate a team-based approach. Engage with outside counsel to effectively resolve outstanding issues of liability. Establish a rapport and working relationship with business managers to encourage and continue the proactive use of in-house legal counsel. Manage trademarks and oversee domestic and international portfolio as well as trademark enforcement. Manage pre-suit cease and desists letters from other companies; negotiate settlements. Proactively communicate and manage expectations with multiple stakeholders. Prepare and provide presentations to business partners as needed. Experience in positively and successfully managing relationships with a high energy, diverse group of stakeholders across organizational lines. The candidate should have Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in at least one state Bar is (FL preferred). Must have ability to review, understand, analyze, and interpret business agreements. Contract drafting and negotiating experience required. Consumer Goods and Technology experience a plus. Should preferably have a combination of law firm and in-house experience (at least 5 years of total experience).
