Senior Attorney, Privacy And Security Legal The candidate will be responsible for: Representation of a diverse group of global clients on legal issues related to privacy, data, cybersecurity, and compliance and work in a team environment with other legal and business professionals around the world. Counseling clients on all aspects of domestic and international laws concerning privacy, data security, and cybersecurity. Assisting business teams on incorporating privacy by design into products/services and adopting innovative privacy solutions from inception to end-of-life. Providing privacy and security impact assessments and compliance counseling to business teams, including growth businesses and new technologies. Counseling clients on privacy and security incident preparedness and management. Supporting ongoing implementation and maintenance of firm's GDPR compliance programs. Researching and tracking global privacy and security legislation, evolving regulations, and enforcement and translating that into practical advice. Creating and presenting unique content through training, internal publications and webinars designed to enhance firm's culture and comprehension of privacy laws and topics. Working with the Government and Policy Group, other attorneys, the firm Privacy Office, and other colleagues regarding new laws, regulations, and guidelines that may affect firm's business. Contributing to our ongoing mission to maximize firm's impact through personal empowerment, practical solutions, and optimal results on complex global privacy and security risks and opportunities. Should have J.D. degree with 10+ years of relevant legal experience. Active membership in at least one U.S. state Bar is essential. Must have 7+ years of experience with privacy and Data Protection law. Should preferably have experience in the technology or computer industry and/or in-house legal work would be an added advantage, as well as CIPP certification. Experience emerging trends in the various states, and a working knowledge of international privacy laws, particularly in the EU and/or Asia is a plus.
