Information Management and Privacy Attorney The candidate will work across the organization, and particularly with members of Legal and Compliance, Business Operations and the Technology Department to manage a broad portfolio consisting of: designing, implementing, and administering an enterprise-wide information management framework to govern a complex corporate entity structure; (2) implementing and managing IT Policies and Procedures and related compliance, including ensuring compliance with data security and privacy obligations, including under GDPR and HIPAA; counsel business clients on cutting-edge issues of data ownership, custody, transfer and use through data sharing agreements, licensing, and other means; handling records retention and eDiscovery issues; and monitoring compliance with quality and other regulatory requirements. Must have Juris Doctorate degree/Law Degree at accredited law school and Bachelor s Degree or other significant education in related areas such as Information Technology or Computer Science. Risk-related industry-standard qualifications is preferred. Must have 5-7 years of industry experience in information management and compliance, including risk identification, assessment and evaluation; risk monitoring and response; Information Systems control design and implementation; IT Policies and related governance and compliance; eDiscovery and litigation; audits. Direct experience and demonstrated knowledge in matters related to IT Policies and Procedures, data security and privacy laws and regulations, including agency guidance, GDPR, HIPAA; litigation and eDiscovery, and information governance is essential. Experience with corporate transactions, licensing agreements, and other contracts addressing regarding data sharing and data transfer issues is essential. International experience is a plus. Must have a proven track record of achievement in the field of information management and governance. Former experience in the life sciences industry is preferred. Must have current working knowledge of all areas of information management and governance and be able to recognize risk areas and material issues arising in the company s businesses.
