Intellectual Property Counsel

Intellectual Property Counsel The candidate will be responsible for: Conducting IP due diligence on assets for in-licensing; Both small molecule and large molecule; Medical devices (including mobile applications); Broad therapeutic areas in both primary, specialty and rare diseases; Reviewing and negotiating IP terms in agreements; Licenses, Material Transfer Agreements, Master Service Agreements, etc.; Patent preparation and prosecution for multiple subsidiaries; Managing existing patent portfolio for multiple subsidiaries; Trademark procurement and maintenance for multiple subsidiaries; Managing IP budget Handling other duties, as needed. Should have 5-10 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field, preferably chemistry, biology, biochemistry or chemical engineering is essential. Should have JD degree from a U.S. law school. USPTO Registration is essential. Should have experience with In-Licensing. Some in-house experience preferred. Previous experience with negotiating IP terms in agreements is needed. Should have solid analytical and research skills and great interpersonal skills. Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
