Director Of Compliance, Corporate Legal Counsel

Director of Compliance, Corporate Legal Counsel The candidate will report to the company General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Will be responsible for overseeing compliance and licensing throughout the company as well as assisting the General Counsel with minimizing corporate liability and risks. Work with General Counsel to manage company litigation, contracts, and enforcement of compliance rules. Oversee Compliance programs across all sales production channels. Create and implement compliance protocols. Create, manage and oversee licensing procedures, including the opening of markets. Create and manage relationships with government agencies, license boards and self-regulatory organizations. Oversee daily activities of Compliance Administrator and Licensing Administrator. Compliance and Licensing training. Reporting of Compliance and Licensing data and trends. Manage discovery requests and responses and deadlines. Legal research and reporting. Other duties as assigned. Must have Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Active Bar license, preferably Utah is essential. Must have 3+ years of experience as an active, licensed attorney in the field of compliance and 1+ year of related experience in professional licensing and/or compliance role. Strong verbal and written communication skill is preferred. 5+ years of industry-specific experience in licensing and compliance role is preferred. Extensive understanding of licensing laws and rules across the United States is preferred.
