Insurance Regulatory Compliance Counsel/Attorney The candidate legal responsibilities of this role include: partnering with company and Product Marketing business leaders and other internal business partners on product development and design; ensuring compliance with worldwide insurance regulatory requirements for the company business; managing the roll out of required insurance regulatory compliance monitoring programs and reviewing all internal insurance regulatory compliance procedures; counseling business partners regarding ongoing insurance regulatory obligations and changes to applicable regulatory framework and requirements on a global basis; preparing and completing filings with insurance regulatory agencies, as required; drafting, reviewing and advising on commercial and consumer contracts relating to company, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance; working with cross-functional teams on special projects; and retaining outside regional counsel and consultants as necessary.

The candidate must have a JD degree or equivalent and be a member in good standing of the Bar. The candidate should have 10+ years of experience in insurance regulatory matters. This position will support the company business with oversight of global insurance regulatory compliance functions in countries where company offers products to consumers. Will have a strong back ground in insurance law. Experience with product warranty and implementing regulatory control frameworks within international organizations, as well as strong negotiating, analytical, organizational, business development and networking skills is required. Will be able to provide practical legal and business advice with regard to a wide variety of legal issues that arise in the insurance regulatory environment; quickly identify, analyze and propose solutions to legal and business issues; partner with internal business partners to support business objectives; and be a strong team player who is proactive, detail oriented, and able to constantly prioritize while handling multiple responsibilities. Both law firm and in-house (public company) experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should have superior academic credentials, exceptional references, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, a sense of humor, and an absolute commitment to excellence and integrity.
