Executive Counsel. Labor & Employment Duties: Report to the General Counsel and will be responsible for developing and executing the labor and employment legal advice for the business globally. Will work closely with key stakeholders, including as a member of the staff of the Senior Executive Human Resources, and as an advisor on labor and employment matters to other senior leaders in the business. Provide advice and counsel senior management regarding compliance with existing and evolving labor and employment laws. Develop and oversee union free strategies, manage non. union campaigns, provide counsel regarding union contract interpretation, represent business regarding unfair labor practice charges, provide strategic guidance during restructuring activities, counsel business with respect to various issues where there is a contractual duty to bargain, and conduct appropriate training for HR and labor relations personnel. Provide advice and counsel on labor and employment issues facing the business, such as NLRA claims, general union relations and contract negotiations, FMLA, USERRA, state and federal wage and hour laws, state and federal employment discrimination statutes, FLSA, equal pay, corporate separateness and contingent workers issues, affirmative action and diversity, drug. free workplace, strike support, employee discipline and termination, restructuring, whistleblower laws, wrongful discharge claims, and employment agreements and policies. Provide representation for the business before state and federal administrative agencies, including the NLRB, OFCCP, the Wage and Hour Division, EEOC, state and local human rights agencies, as well as in mediations and arbitrations under internal alternative dispute resolution programs and local union grievance procedures. Directly involved in drafting position statements and pleadings, responding to information requests, and representing business at hearings; handling ADR matters, including responses to and coordination with claimants, drafting mediation statements and representing business at mediations; litigating arbitrations; responding to attorney demand letters and resulting investigations. Manage employment and labor matters in non. US jurisdictions where operates, in coordination with local HR managers and local counsel. Conduct and manage internal investigations and support the business open reporting program. Provide advice and counsel on labor related aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Support and contribute to other initiatives of the Legal and HR teams that improve business policies and processes. Ensure the successful, cost. effective use of outside counsel.

Requirements: JD Degree from an accredited law school. 10+ years of experience at a large law firm and/or corporate legal department, with significant experience in labor law matters, employment litigation, investigations and related matters. Member in good standing of a state Bar. Desired: Strong commitment to integrity and professionalism. Experience with employee benefits and executive compensation issues. Experienced lawyer with significant labor and employment experience. Demonstrated effectiveness in the practice of employment and labor law with emphasis on NLRA / union issues, Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, USERRA, FLSA, and employment. related torts and litigation. Experience with global employment and/or litigation issues, including experience with works councils. First chair experience at trial and/or arbitral hearings, including experience with class actions. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Self-confident, self-directed, solution. focused and collaborative personality. Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving legal issues quickly and effectively and ability to make on the spot risk calls. Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in a fast. paced environment. Ability to set and meet multiple priorities, initiative to take on new challenges, and high energy. High level of influencing skills combined with an ability to build excellent working relationships (cross. functionally, globally, at multiple levels, and externally). Ability to deal effectively with people and work in diverse teams.
