International Tax Counsel

International Tax Counsel The candidate work with businesses on international tax implications, structure recommendations and implementation for product launches; Assist with project management of new product launches, working with regional Tax teams and local Finance project management teams. Partner with internal cross-functional teams (including Legal, Treasury and Accounting) on various projects; Liaise with service providers to develop recommendations and documentation for product launches. Help identify, research, quantify, and document international tax exposures, legal positions, and alternatives, with an understanding of business objectives; Stay abreast of the latest tax developments, legislative and regulatory changes, and provision implications. Review tax-related provisions of contracts with business partners, including technology and content licenses, asset purchases, payment processing, and other services. Assist with acquisition planning and merger agreement review; Assist with quarterly and year-end international tax provision and compliance processes; Assist with other international tax related projects as necessary. The candidate should have J.D. or CPA. Must have 7 years of experience in international tax, with a law firm, accounting firm, or in-house tax department. Should have years of experience in this field and an extensive knowledge of those tax issues most relevant to internet companies. Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for achieving results is preferred. Should have excellent research and project management skills and experience. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of the finance organization.
