Senior Director, Litigation Counsel

Senior Director, Litigation Counsel The candidate will be assisting in the development and implementation of strategic plans for a variety of litigation matters. Case load includes, global patent litigation, antitrust, government investigations, product liability, commercial, and securities litigation. Will be managing subpoenas and other inquiries served on or by the Company. Resolving disputes with other companies or individuals through negotiation or mediation with or without the involvement of outside counsel. Effectively managing outside counsel and outside counsel spend. Implementing, managing and overseeing records management, e-discovery, litigation hold software, budgeting, and other electronic applications that support a complex litigation practice. Supervising the collection and production of documents, preserving all privileges. Assisting in the interviews and preparation of corporate witnesses for deposition and trial. Reviewing and editing pleadings, briefs, presentations and other documents prepared for litigation matters. Proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigating actions. Performing other duties and working on special projects as requested by the VP, Litigation and/or General Counsel. Collaborating closely with other legal department colleagues and functional support groups in providing advice and counsel. Very strong oral & written communication skills is needed. Solid leadership potential. Ability to manage other lawyers, administrative staff and paralegals as well facilitate/manage cross-functional teams are essential. JD degree is needed. Should have 12+ years of relevant legal experience including working in a law firm and in-house pharmaceutical legal department.
